This seems like another very expensive restaurant menu design. The small type right in the middle of the page really communicates a more upscale feeling. It seems like a pretty standard way to display the information with the bolded menu items and the unbold descriptions, the categories spaced just above them in all caps to show importance and organization. Overall the negative space is the unique thing about this design because there is so much of it.
