Nik Ainley

 

I like this design because of the way that it is simple and yet so dimensional and has so much attitude. I love the way that type can be used as a graphic in itself to create an interesting and creative look to a design. I love the font choice on this because it really keeps the 3 words together in the way that they are so blocky that the weight is very balanced between them and there is very little to no negative space in between.

 This is an interesting design because of the way that you almost cant tell where the loops end and where the letters begin. I like the way that it looks that way because for a simple heart shape with only one color, it really forces you to look closer at the design and really decipher whats inside of it, which was likely the artists intention when making this design. Overall, very cool and unique concept.

This design is really interesting because as it is type it does not consist of a single line in the whole design. I think that's really interesting that the designer chose to portray the letters in this plus sign looking way that really gives it a halftone texture and makes it really interesting to look at. I think that was a creative approach by layering the letters and changing the sizes and colors in the design for contrast and variety. 

Paul Renner

I love this design because it consists of exclusively type and still looks amazing and contrasted and unique. I love the way the designer chose to put the A upside down but it it still absolutely readable. The shape created by the large letters really makes an interesting negative space around the outside as well as just a small amount of space for the smaller letters int he middle to really get chaotic and crazy looking. I love the way that the type in this design looks like a texture from far away and appears to just be a design made of black and white, I love the use of type in this design.

Creative Confidence

What I like about this book cover design is that it consists only of type but it looks so personal and so well designed. I love the script font, it really adds to the look of the cover by giving it a causal and inviting feel. I think it's creative that they chose to have colored type going off the sides to create the design that mimics brush strokes and really gives an artsy and creative feel.

Motorcyclist

  

I like this design because I think its unique that it consists of only type, but the graphic is inside the letter M. its a very simple design and it's awesome that the designer chose to lay it out in such a way to keep the bold font on opposite corners of the poster. I love the colors chosen as well as the bold sans serif font works perfectly in this design. 

Future 50

This magazine cover is a really good example of how typography and graphics can work together to make a beautiful design. I think the way that the shapes are folding and overlapping into the next letters in the word FUTURE really gives it texture and depth and makes the cover very interesting and unique. I like the color scheme and I think despite that the design consists of only FUTURE 50 being the focus, it really draws attention to it and around the page with an organic design that loops and curves around the way that it does.

regina spektor

what I like about this design is the way that the type grouped and overlapped together makes up the dark region at the bottom while also giving a textured and stylized look to the overall poster. I think the birds at the top are a nice touch and I like the way the clouds look with that subtle bit of blue in the background, nice poster overall.

Bird

I like the design for this book particularly because of the simple and black and white look of it. I like the change between black and white of the cover and backside, which really creates enough variety and contrast to make it interesting. I also like the vertical type on the back, which also helps the space between the bird to stay open and ultimately look better.

The Picture of Dorian Gray

This book cover is made completely of typography and it really works probably only because it is an older established book that doesn't need to be especially eye catching or unique because it has been around a while and someone who would buy this book most likely is looking for it specifically. I like the bold unique look of the type and the way it is kind of dripping down ward.
